Coastie #43
Coastie
is the USCG Auxiliary's best
safe boating spokesperson. A loveable
character, Coastie is a favorite for public
events from boating to National
Library week. Coastie has been on TV many
times and while he's a star he
likes making children stars too by putting them
in the spotlight with his search
light.
Auxiliary members who are fortunate enough to accompany Coastie on his
busy tour
schedule find that children of all ages love this little guy.
Flotilla 19's Coastie is # 43 in the
nation. He has many cousins in other states
who just like our Coastie is
spreading the following safe boating message.
Don't
just pack it WEAR It!
Life Jacket, the name says it all!

When Coastie tells children why they should wear their life jackets on boat outings, he always says: "Because life jackets float and you don't."
If you are
interested in having Coastie attend your function,
please contact the FSO
for Public Affairs of Flotilla 19.
You may also fill out a
Request
Form and attach it to your e-mail to the FSO-PA.
