Come Be a Member of USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 19
We find ourselves at a time in our Nation's history that is fraught
with uncertainty, terror, and a funding crisis. Our Homeland
Security Force, The United States Coast Guard, is being asked to do
more with less. As auxiliarists, we can and do help by being "Force
Multipliers." We serve doing routine tasks that free up time
for USCG personnel to complete vital missions in Marine Safety, Port
Security, Search and Rescue and Navigational Aids support and
repair.
Are you ready to join our team and help to
provide valuable services to your community? Do you want to improve
your boating knowledge and skills? Do you just need an reason to do
something you love – working around boats and fellow boating
enthusiasts? Our Flotilla could use your help and resources to aid
our Coasties as they work to keep us safe in the surrounding
waterways. Come and join us for an exciting time of fellowship and
service to your local boating community and country. .
Our missions include teaching safe boating classes, inspecting
vessels to ensure owners have proper and working safety equipment
and knowledge. Train to be boat crew qualified and work with the US
Coast Guard on search & rescue missions when needed. Our members
stand radio watches relaying safety messages and calls for help when
souls are in peril on the seas. We visit schools, attend boat shows
with our safety spokesman Coastie, create static displays on boat
handling, and travel to marine dealers and other locations year
round to deliver our boating safety messages. Do you have

You decide how much time you spend with
your teammates and which tasks you’re interested in doing. Whether
you have only several hours each month or unlimited time, we can
accommodate you and your schedule. Best of all, we provide you with
the training and skills necessary to successfully accomplish these
tasks!
Membership is available to
any US
citizen 17 years of age or older. You must be in good moral
standing, with no felony convictions. The ideal candidate is
energetic and self-starting, and has a sincere desire to learn while
providing service to the boating public. Vessel ownership is desired
but not required.
Our members enjoy what they do and it shows –
they were selected as the best Flotilla for four consecutive years
in a district stretching from the
Arizona
/
New Mexico
state line across the southern states to just east of here in
St. Marks
,
Florida
