Flotilla 19 Member Training
Member training provides opportunities to learn many boating and seamanship skills. From practicing tossing a throwable life ring on the beach to actual heaving of lines from rescue boat to a distressed boat, training is all about readiness to conduct safe efficient missions.

Communications
AUXCOM:
Radio communication allowing the member to participate in the
communications program.
Navigation
AUXNAV:
Training in all aspects of coastal navigation, including piloting, radar
and electronic navigation.
Patrols
AUXPAT:
Procedures for operating Safety, Regatta and Marine Parade Patrols,
and topics on safety and leadership while on the water.
Search
and Rescue
AUXSAR:
The U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue procedures. This course is due to
change this year and will be renamed AUXSCE.
Seamanship
AUXSEA:
Advanced training in boat handling, mechanical systems and on-the-water
emergencies.
Weather
AUXWEA:
A comprehensive class in weather -- what causes it and how to predict
changes.
