The USCG Auxiliary was created by Congress in 1939 as an all volunteer citizen group which would support the US Coast Guard. Our missions include teaching public boating safety classes, public outreach, assisting with search and rescue missions, and participation in America's Waterway Watch program. In addition we help protect the environment of our coastal regions.
Panama City Beach, Florida's Flotilla 19 is very proud to be part of a network of 30,000+ all volunteer lifesavers. Serving Bay County and its surrounding waterways Flotilla 19 conducts many missions in public boating safety and public outreach through both boating classes and appearances with "Coastie" the safety boat.
Flotilla members are trained in boating skills and seamanship so they can conduct patrols for many purposes. Missions are varied and may include search and rescue, monitoring aids to navigation, water sampling and waterway watch.
Flotilla 19 is located on the Naval Support
Activity (NSA) base in Panama City Beach, FL. On NSA we
co-locate with the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Panama City and the law
enforcement agency of Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. We work
as a team to promote safe boating, protection of our water ways and
resources. Monthly meeting are held on the 3rd Wednesday of
every month. We start off with a social with meal at 1800 hours
(6:00PM). Food is prepared by one of the flotilla members.
We invite anyone interested in learning more about the Flotilla and
